Naomi Wray, in an extended project qualification from 1201/1202, has written a brief but excellent examination of number bases in modern mathematics. Attractively designed and well-composed, the article examines the rise of decimal and its disadvantages, along with the advantages of the dozenal base. It relies in several places on our DSA publications (even citing a dozenal limerick from the DSA Newscast 3:10!). An entertaining and enlightening read.
